ASW Cantius 204 fully corresponds its status of premium loudspeakers. The base is a pair of high-class drivers, enclosed into hard box with a pair of bass-reflex’s ports. The tweeter is slightly bigger than usual – the dome made of impregnated silk has the diameter of 30 mm, which does not prevent driver to confidently work up to 25 kHz. Woofer is with a 13-cm aluminum diffuser, powerful magnetic system and increased voice coil. The bands are divided quite low (2000 Hz) by second ordered filter, containing only audiophile elements. Massive spring terminals allow the use of bi-wiring. Traditionally, ASW offers a variety of finishes; individual color for special order is available.

ASW Cantius 204 legibly plays different musical genres – from symphonic classics to modern hard rock. Instrumental attack is transferred very well: groovy and quick-firing. Timbres at the midrange are perceived to be natural, but in vocal parts sometimes seem to be a bit cool. Do not go crazy with volume – monitors have a tendency to compression at low frequencies. The tweeter showed high class – there are no excess overhangs or tiring hyper detailing in its register. Sound stage deserves a special praise too. Space is convincing by scale and accuracy of the positioning of images.
